Peran Motivasi Sebagai Variabel Moderasi pada Pengaruh Komitmen Organisasional terhadap Kinerja Dosen Universitas Swasta di Jawa Barat di Tengah Pandemi Covid 19

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah motivasi memoderasi pengaruh komitmen organisasional terhadap kinerja dosen. Metode yang digunakan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, deskristif dan verifikatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dengan teknik random sampling. Responden adalah dosen pada 32 Universitas Swasta di Jawa Barat. Data dianalysis menggunakan Structural Equation Model (SEM) dan SPSS plug in Process A. F. Hayes. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa motivasi berpengaruh positif terhadap komitmen organisasional, motivasi berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja dan motivasi terbukti memoderasi pengaruh komitmen organisasional terhadap kinerja., artinya ketika motivasi dosen tinggi maka kinerja yamg dicapai akan lebih tinggi, sebaliknya ketika motivasi yang dimiliki oleh dosen rendah maka kinerja yang dicapai akan rendah walaupun komitmen organisasional yang dimiliki oleh dosen tinggi.  Hasil ini dapat dimaknai bahwa makin tinggi tingkat motivasi yang dimiliki dosen, makin kuat tingkat komitmen organisasional dan makin tinggi tingkat kinerja dosen, serta motivasi yang tinggi memperkuat pengaruh komitmen organisasional terhadap kinerja. Motivasi memiliki pengaruh yang positif bagi peningkatan kinerja dosen.
